Project Management

Resource Institute undertakes resource conservation and development projects which enhance the quality of life in a region.

Some projects may have far-reaching environmental effects that cross state and regional boundaries. Other projects may be local in their impacts. For example, improvements to a watershed and stream may enhance recreation opportunities in a community.

Such an improved quality of life can attract successful businesses, which in turn enhance the economy of communities who continue as good stewards of their natural resources.

Resource Institute serves as a clearinghouse for the efficient and effective matching of projects and funds. RI helps nonprofit and government organizations identify and locate funding sources for projects involving conservation, restoration, education, and stewardship of natural resources. RI also helps organizations prepare and execute development strategies to optimize the funding they can receive.

Design/Engineering and Permits

Resource Institute assists with determining the full scope of the project that will best serve the indentified needs. This can involve conducting town hall meetings and assessing the community support for projects. RI also assists with contracting for design and engineering work. RI monitors and manages those contracts for clients interests and helps secure the various permits required for the projects undertaken.
